Ageas has announced the appointment of Roy Watkinson as head of Commercial Pricing and Underwriting, a newly created position.
Watkinson will be tasked with leadership of more than 100 staff and implementing the strategic Commercial programme by effective pricing, underwriting and fostering strong broker relationships.
He will assume his new post with effect from 1 August and will report directly to Underwriting Director Adam Clarke.
Watkinson brings more than three decades of industry experience to his new post, and previously worked for Axa Insurance as director of Technical and Commercial Underwriting.
Clarke expressed his delight at Watkinson’s appointment, adding that the appointment underlined the firm’s commitment to grow its Commercial lines proposition.
Clarke went on to say that he joined an already strong management team that would benefit from his extensive technical and commercial expertise.
