Beachcroft LLP and Davies Arnold Cooper LLP have agreed a merger.
The insurance litigation specialists are finalising details of the deal and will launch as DAC Beachcroft LLP on 1st November 2011.
The combined firm will have a network of offices in the UK and an international capability covering Europe, Latin America, North America and Asia Pacific.
It will also include enhanced teams working with clients in the insurance, real estate and healthcare sectors.
Beachcroft managing partner, Paul Murray, comments: “Both firms specialise in the insurance sector and the combined firm will provide insurance clients with a distinctive, full-service offering in the UK and internationally.”
He adds: “In addition, Beachcroft’s market-leading health practice will be well complemented by Davies Arnold Cooper’s strong presence in the life sciences sector.”

British bike insurer Bennetts has announced the bolstering of its e-commerce team with a brace of senior appointments.
Emma Warren-Rea has been appointed senior e-commerce manager, and Matt Douglas, e-commerce manager, will report to her directly.
The team will spearhead the firm’s new e-commerce initiatives by carefully managing the numerous online channels that deliver substantial sales and engagement from the biker community, and innovation.
Prior to her appointment at Bennetts Warren-Rea held a range of senior marketing positions with a number of firms, including Cancer Research UK, Cover-More Insurance Group and recruitment site, MyPeopleBiz.
Douglas was formerly with Santander, where he worked as senior e-marketing manager leading a team responsible for Santander and Alliance & Leicester sites.
Director of Marketing and E-commerce Hannah Squirrell said that the firm has ambitious plans in the e-commerce arena and said that she was delighted to welcome the two new appointments to the firm.
